Motorists are being warned of roadworks affecting the M9 and M8.
For the safety of workers and road users, the northbound on-slip at M9 Junction 1 and one lane of the M9 will be closed from 20:30 until 06:00 on the nights of December 1 to December 3.
During these closures, a signed diversion route will be in place via the M8 eastbound to Hermiston Gait roundabout, returning via the M8 Westbound to Junction 2 and rejoining the M9 at Junction 1 Newbridge. This diversion adds an estimated 12 minutes and 9.8 miles to affected journeys. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
For the safety of workers and road users, the M9 will be closed northbound between Junction 1 and Junction 2 from 8.30pm until 6am on the nights of December 1 to 3.

Strict physical distancing protocols, in line with Scottish Government guidance, are in place to protect teams and ensure they remain safe on site.
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders to share information about the project in advance.
