Drivers urged to take care in bad weather after car flips onto roof

The emergency services have urged motorists to take care in worsening weather conditions after attending an incident where a car flipped onto its roof.

Fire crews from Retford and Tuxford attended the incident which happened at around 8.38pm on Tuesday, February 11.

A spokesperson for Tuxford Fire Station said the occupants inside the car were fortunate enough to be able to get themselves out of the car before crews arrived.

They were then left in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The spokesperson said: "Upon arrival crews were faced with one vehicle on its roof and used a hose reel and small tools to deal with this.

"We are experiencing bad weather at the moment and it’s only going to get worse, we urge people to take care when driving and drive to the conditions, remember drive to arrive."
