Drivers praise viral shaving cream hack that leaves car seats looking 'like new'

Car owners have been left amazed by a cleaning hack that can leave seats looking good as new — and all that's needed is shaving foam.

One cleaning enthusiast had previously been informed that shaving cream is an effective stain remover on furniture and decided to try it out on their vehicle.

Sharing photos before and after carrying out the hack on the Cleaning tips and tricks Facebook group, the results show the seats looking much brighter and cleaner.

Alongside the photos, she wrote: "So, after reading the shaving foam tip and being embarrassed for months about my car seats, I decided to give it a go! WOW, thank you, thank you!

"So, this is a mix of rain, water spilt and plaster dust and general yuk! Before, during and after. Ps I had little knowledge of how to use shaving foam……until today, I got it everywhere!"

She explained that she covered the seats in Gillette shaving foam from Asda that she had purchased for £1, before scrubbing them gently with a toothbrush.
