Drivers are being warned to expect lengthy delays on the M74 tonight.
One lane of the M74 Southbound, at Junction 6 Hamilton, is closed for emergency roadworks.
There is also no entry to the M74 Southbound from Hamilton.
One driver has been in touch with the Advertiser to say that it took 45 minutes to get through the delays.
Scotland Transerv tweeted: “PLEASE BE ADVISED: Emergency repairs are being carried out on #M74 S/B Jct6 adjacent to #Motherwell on-slip.
“Lane management will need to remain in place throughout evening peak, with lengthy delays expected.
“Please follow @trafficscotland for updates.”
