An incident on an East Ayrshire road this evening has been causing problems for drivers.
A driver is believed to have struck a sheep on the busy A76 and ended up overturning the vehicle, which has caused major tailbacks.
The incident happened between Kilmarnock and Mauchline and police are on the scene.
One eyewitness said: "Trouble on A76 between Mauchline and Kilmarnock. Dead sheep over road and car over avoid long tailbacks. Avoid, road will be closed. Hope people in the car are okay."
Others are saying there's been a number of dead sheep on the road.
Drivers are urged to avoid the route if possible.
