Two drivers have been charged over a crash in the Hunter Valley in April that killed a motorcycle rider.
Police were called to Neath, just east of Cessnock, on the evening of Friday, April 24, after reports two utilities and the motorcycle had collided at the intersection of Cessnock Road and Kemp Street.
The rider, a 50-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital with critical injuries, where she died the following day.
The drivers were uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing, police said.
On Friday, August 7, the 21-year-old and 57-year-old were charged with a string of offences relating to the crash and ordered to appear in Cessnock Local Court next month.
Police charged the older man with allegedly driving while under the influence of an illicit drug. The younger man faces charges of dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death, causing bodily harm by misconduct and special range drink-driving.
The younger man's licence was suspended, police said.
The 57-year-old is expected to face court on September 17. The younger driver will face court on September 23.
