Shocking police dash-cam footage captures the moment officers caught two reckless drivers travelling at over 100mph along a motorway in torrential weather conditions.
Both motorists were caught within minutes of each other after they hit breakneck speeds along the M6 Toll in Staffordshire at around 9pm on Saturday (11/1).
The first driver was captured speeding along the stretch of motorway at a staggering 126mph despite the pouring rain and reduced visibility.
Moments later traffic cops had to deal with another vehicle, which was clocked tearing along at 104mph in "horrendous weather conditions."
Officers from Central Motoring Policing Group shared the footage of both incidents on social media.
They wrote: “Despite the horrendous weather conditions and large amounts of standing water, this driver decided to drive at over 125mph on The M6 Toll in the Staffordshire Police area.
"There is a car in the mist in front. Vehicle stopped and driver can expect a day in court.
"Having just finished dealing with the last driver for driving too fast in the rain, yet another is witnessed driving in excess of 104 mph still in horrendous conditions.
"Vehicle stopped and driver reported.”
Web users took to the Twitter to condemn both drivers' actions and branded them "idiotic morons."
Gary Parry said: "Travelling at that speed in stormy conditions is a death-wish. Absolutely idiotic behaviour, complete morons."
Julie Bilton added: "Omg 104 that's madness pure madness whether raining or not well done xx"
Ian Preston simply wrote "suicidal" while Paul Jones added: "Braindead. What were they thinking?"
