Drivers baffled by petrol station 'selling fuel for 14.9p per litre'

Drivers were left puzzled after turning up to a garage and finding petrol on sale for less than 15p per litre.

Recently, fuel prices have gone through the roof following a petrol shortage in the UK.

However, one driver revealed how he managed to find a litre of petrol for 14.9p at a Shell garage near Margate.

Posting an update on a Facebook group for Kent hauliers and drivers, he filled up with 26.29 litres of petrol for just £3.92.

As it transpires, the garage had the decimal point showing in the wrong place at the pump when drivers filled up with petrol.

According to Kent Live, other users have reacted to the post and rued their luck at missing out on the cheap offer.

One person wrote: "I filled up last night, I'm gutted."

Another said: "How nice would that be all the time."

One person responded: "Should have kept that quiet!"

While another said: "On my way... from Edinburgh!"

People who have since visited the petrol garage indicate that the price has since been corrected.
