A driver that had no insurance, tax or NCT for their vehicle was caught by gardai carrying out a checkpoint yesterday.
They were one of two drivers who were pulled by gardai - the other had no insurance - during the checkpoint in Mulhuddart.
It was carried out at lunchtime yesterday, and both the vehicles were seized.
They said: "The Roads Policing Unit Blanchardstown assisted by Open City Probationary Gardaí, set up a checkpoint at Church rd, Mulhuddart, D15, from 13:00 – 14:00 on the 4/12/19.
"Two vehicles were seized one had no insurance, the other had no insurance, tax or NCT."
While in Dundrum, a number of cars that were blocking access on footpaths and cycle lanes were fined.
Gardai on patrol warned that such situations create danger for vulnerable road users.
They said: "Gardaí on patrol in Dundrum detected a number of vehicles parked illegally on footpaths and blocking cycle lanes, creating danger for vulnerable road users. FCPNs issued."
