Driver tries to make it all the way to Manchester... without any tyres on her car

A driver was spotted 'trying to get all the way to Manchester' without any tyres on her car.

Police spied the blue Volkswagen being forced down the East Lancashire Road on bare wheels.

The driver was finally pulled over near Worsley. Police discovered she had been trying to 'make it all the way to Manchester'.

The driver was caught by the police (GMP Traffic)

Officers then found that she had no licence nor insurance, before the driver failed a breath test.

In a tweet, Greater Manchester Traffic Police said: "Amazingly the driver of this VW Touran was trying to make it all the way to Manchester with no tyres! Stopped by #XT18 on the East Lancs Road near Worsley.

"She was found to have no licence or insurance and failed a breath test. In custody she blew 50! #fatal5 #nonefortheroad "
