Driver 'tried to run' from Scots cops before 'cash and white powder' discovered

Police discovered 'cash and white powder' after a driver tried to 'leg it' from officers.

The man has been arrested and reported for 'numerous offences' after the incident happened in Cleland, North Lanarkshire last night.

Officers from the Road Policing Unit were out on the road for less than an hour when the driver allegedly failed to stop for them.

He then 'tried his luck on foot' before cops arrested him.

Details of the bust were revealed on the Road Policing Scotland Twitter page.

A spokesperson said: "Less than an hour on the road and the driver of this vehicle failed to stop for #LanarkshireRP in Cleland.

"Tried his luck on foot to no avail. Fantastic search by @polscotdogs

"Ensured no items were missed. Arrested / reported for numerous offences. @DrugWipeUK"
