Driver throws pet cat out of car because 'it wasn't listening to his commands'

A driver has been slammed for throwing a pet kitten out of his car on a busy road because it "wouldn't listen to his demands".

The man, known by his surname Wang, stopped his car in middle of the road while driving in the city of Zigong in Sichuan of southwest China on Sunday.

Dashcam video from the car behind captured the moment Wang emptied a plastic bag outside his car.

A grey kitten is then seen crawling out of the plastic bag.

Wang shakes the bag a few times to get rid of his pet before driving away.

The motorist from the car behind said in the video: "You can't be dumping a cat here, right?

"The cat is on the floor in the middle of the road now."

The frightened cat tried to hide under the car but later ran to the railings when its owner took off.

Police launched an investigation when they received a tip from the public.

Officers searched the licence plate and arrested Wang for littering out of a car.

Wang admitted to the police that he was the owner of the cat.

He explained that the cat failed to listen to his commands and often bit him.

The cat was obstructing him while driving so he decided to throw it out of the car, Wang told the police.

He was handed a 200 yuan (£22) fine and two penalty points.
