Driver 'thrown from vehicle' after crashing into M61 barriers

A driver was ‘thrown from their vehicle’ after crashing into a barrier on the M61 yesterday evening.

Police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

They were reported for having no insurance, no driving licence and refusing to provide an essential sample at hospital.

In a tweet, North West Motorway Police said: “The driver of this vehicle crashed into barriers yesterday evening on the M61.

“The driver was thrown from the vehicle as they were not restrained by a seat belt.

“The driver was reported for no insurance, no driving licence and refusing to provide an evidential sample at hospital.”
