A driver has been taken to hospital after a crash which 'injured' a horse near Bristol.
The collision, which happened on Beggar Bush Lane near Ashton Court Estate, involved a horse and rider, and a blue Ford Focus, according to police. They said that the driver was taken to hospital, while the horse was injured and the rider was 'shaken'.
The road, which runs between Abbots Leigh Road and Clevedon Road, is closed as of 4pm, according to police. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage of it to come forward.
