Driver smashes into car then hits house wall in street rampage before fleeing

Neighbours were left in shock as they watched a driver smash into a parked car and then crash through a wall before fleeing the scene.

The black car crashed into a parked Renault Kangoo car on Wolfden Avenue in Bootle on Saturday August 14.

The car then smashed into a wall at the junction of Fernhill Road and Burnie Avenue, before driving away from the scene, leaving a black bumper behind.

Lisa Evenden, whose car was damaged, told the ECHO: "The car that did it was probably another stolen one, not that they will get much money for a damaged car, or joyriders, pretty common round here."

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO : "We are appealing for information after a collision in Bootle on Saturday (14 August).

"A report was received at 10.30pm that a black car had been in collision with a stationary and unoccupied Renault Kangoo car on Wolfden Avenue.

"The car then collided with a wall at the junction of Fernhill Road and Burnie Avenue, before being driven away.
