Driver's suggestion on how to properly use cup holders leaves people's 'minds blown'

A driver's suggestion on how to properly use cup holders has left people's 'minds blown' after he shared it online.

Transporting multiple takeaway drinks on the go with limited cup holders or no passengers available can be hard, the Mirror reports.

Although TikTok user Jacob Lopez, known as @bogielopez89 online, might now have the perfect solution to the age-old struggle.

The simple method involves using a cardboard drinks holder, like those regularly handed out at drive-thru and takeaway restaurants.

However, instead of placing just one drink in an inbuilt slot in the car, Jacob slots one of the tray's pockets into his car's holder.

He then places a drink within the pocket inside the holder and takes his hands away, with all three remaining straight and secure.

The voiceover asks: "Did you know these cup holders are made for this?"

And it is fair to say most people did not, based on the comments left on the video, which has garnered over 16 million views.

The official @mcdonalds account replied: "i didn’t even know this."

Another viewer said: "My mind is blown." A third added: "Definitely didn’t but this, this is a game changer."

However, one person wrote: "LIES BECAUSE WHEN I TURNED AT THE LIGHT THEY FELL OVER!"

Someone else added: "I did that with my drink carrier and my Starbucks went flying."

Commenters also reported that the trays don't fit in some vehicles. "

One said: Not for my car I already tried," said one person. Another found: "My lid gets in the way."

Nonetheless, many were still impressed by the man's inventive approach, even if the results were called into question.
