A driver has been hospitalised after a horror crash in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services raced to the scene of one-car smash, which took place on the A97, north of the B9121 junction, around 1.40pm on Sunday.
The person driving the car was taken to hospital, however the extent of their injuries are currently not known.
Officers closed off the road on arrival and it remains shut to motorists.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: "We received a report of a one-vehicle crash on the A97, north of the B9121 junction in Aberdeenshire shortly before 1.40pm on Sunday, April 11.
"Officers are in attendance.
"The driver has been taken to hospital."
