Driver rushed to hospital after car crashes into tree at Broomhill roundabout

A man has been rushed to hospital after a car flipped onto its roof at a major roundabout in the west end.

were called at around 11.35am today (Wednesday, November 27) following reports that the car had crashed into a tree.

Emergency crews raced to the scene and the driver was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.

His injuries have been described as not life threatening.

A spokesperson for  Police Scotland  said: "Police were called at around 11.35am on Wednesday, November 27 following reports of a car colliding with a tree.

"The driver has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital but his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

"The slip road from the Clydeside Expressway to Broomhill roundabout remains has been closed while emergency service remain on the scene.

"Drivers are advised to find alternative routes."
