Driver reported for urinating in public

A driver has been reported for a traffic offence on Tuesday (3 August) evening.

The ME54 patrol of Greater Manchester Traffic Police spotted the driver urinating on the side of the road, next to his van, in full view of motorists driving past.

The offence took place near an Eccles work unit.

The driver stated that he thought nobody could see him, before the patrol issued the traffic offence report.

While urinating in public isn't illegal in the UK, it is classed as an offence, and there are a number of laws you could be prosecuted under if caught, such as outraging public decency, indecent exposure, penalty notice for disorder and motoring offences.

In most cases, offenders will be issued with a fine.
