Driver puzzled by provocative windscreen note after parking on public road

A driver has been left bemused by a note left on his windscreen after parking on a public road in Ramsbottom.

The note, written in a blue marker, said: "Can I park outside your house so you have nowhere to park when you get home."

Philip Hargreaves parked on Stubbins Lane, near Starbucks, on the way out of Ramsbottom on Friday, December, 17.

In a Facebook post, he described the note as being 'so funny'.

He said: "Not private parking and someone wrote this on my car?

"You can’t park in a public space in Ramsbottom?

"What’s going on?"

He added: "PS of course you can park outside my house, it’s a public road - so it’s allowed come and see me, I’ll direct you in and I definitely won’t leave a note."

Dozens of people left comments below the post - which was shared onto the What's on in Ramsbottom Facebook group.

Nicola Murphy-Lunn said: "Parking police everywhere! We can’t see them, but they are there, lurking with their bad handwriting and markers."

Harry Turner joked that Ramsbottom has become 'Karen headquarters'.

Meanwhile Adam Bickle said: "Rammy has changed. Back in the day that piece of paper would of been a human turd or a brick through your window."
