A fed up driver who says a pothole was constantly filling up with water has made a sign poking fun at the crater. The sarcastic sign has been put on a roadside grass verge, with many of its letters coloured red to alert drivers to the wide hazard.
StokeonTrentLive reports the pothole juts out towards to centre of a dual carriageway. It is located on the southbound side of the A34 near Tittensor in Staffordshire.

The sign, spotted by a motorist driving along the A34, reads: "Warning - pothole under construction as your new local outdoor swimming pool!!!."
StokeonTrentLive says Stoke-on-Trent City Council has been approached for a comment.
