Driver punched by road rage Audi motorist near busy set of Nottingham traffic lights

A driver was punched by a road rage motorist near a set of traffic lights.

A man in a red Audi A4 is alleged to have got out of his car and assaulted another driver by punching him through the driver's side window.

The victim required five stitches to a wound just above his eye.

Police said the incident happened on Queen's Drive, at the junction with Enterprise Way heading out of the city, at the traffic lights at around 4.30pm on March 5.

PC Matthew Hempsall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We believe that there will be witnesses to the incident as it was coming up to rush-hour on a busy Nottingham street last Thursday. We've spoken to the victim and they have said that a woman in a white van will have seen the assault."

Anyone with any information that may help is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident 655 of March 5.
