Driver punched after argument with man in scaffolding lorry

A motorist was punched while remaining in his vehicle in the aftermath of a verbal dispute.

Police say a verbal exchange was carried out between someone in a scaffolding lorry driver who was initially travelling in the opposite direction in the Speedwell area of Bristol on Monday, March 28 between 3.30pm and 4pm.

Following the dispute, the passenger who was in the lorry got out of the vehicle and punched the motorist who remained in his vehicle on Argyle Road, Speedwell.

Avon and Somerset Police are now trying to trace the suspect who is being described as white, male, about 25-30 years with mousey brown hair and a small beard.

The incident is now being investigated as an assault by Avon and Somerset Police.

Witnesses, or anyone who was driving in the area and may have dashcam footage, are asked to call 101 and give the call handler reference number 5222073467.
