A driver ploughed into another car during a police chase before running away from the scene. Officers were pursuing a car after the driver failed to stop in the Westhoughton area of Bolton on Saturday (May 20).
The car then smashed into another vehicle before the driver quickly fled the scene on foot - being chased by officers before he was arrested a short time later.
Dramatic pictures showed the aftermath of the crash, which involved four vehicles, as police and fire crews blocked off Manchester Road in Over Hulton.

Five people were able to pull themselves out of the vehicles involved before crews arrived. Paramedics and trauma technicians treated those involved at the roadside, with no serious injuries reported.

Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving documentation offences.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 3.15pm on Saturday 20 May 2023, a car being briefly pursued by police was involved in a collision after the car failed to stop in Westhoughton.
During the pursuit, the car collided with a member of the public's vehicle which caused minor damage. The driver of the car being pursued by police fled the scene on foot, and was arrested shortly after by officers.
