A hapless motorist was picked up and fined by GMP Traffic Police - after he parked on the M56 Manchester Airport spur late last night (Thursday July 29), as he tried to identify the correct Terminal he had to drive to.
Traffic cops who approached the vehicle dangerously parked on the M56 road markings were even more bamboozled when the driver said he "thought he was ok because his hazard lights were on".
Greater Manchester Police promptly issued a Traffic Offence Report
Traffic Police tweeted: "This driver thought the verge of the M56 Airport Spur was an appropriate place to stop and park whilst finding out which terminal he needed!
The driver stated it was okay because he had his hazards on! TOR issued."
