A driver has escaped serious injury after their car flipped onto its roof on the Mancunian Way.
Police were called to a road traffic collision on the city centre ring road at around 4pm on Monday (October 14).
The one-vehicle crash involved a Toyota Yaris which was overturned.
The driver of the vehicle only suffered minor injuries.
GMP Traffic posted a picture of the smashed-up car on Twitter.
The windscreen looks to be completely smashed, the bumper has fallen off, the engine is exposed and part of the bonnet looks to be missing.
Traffic alerts are currently reporting one lane closed on Mancunian Way westbound at Chester Road (Chester Road Roundabout).
There is heavy traffic in the area due to the accident.
Police are warning commuters to expect delays while they await recovery.
