Driver left to 'walk home to Mansfield' after Punto seized by police

A driver was pulled over after officers noticed a number of things not right with his car.

The incident was reported in Shirebrook, on the Nottinghamshire border with Derbyshire at around 5pm on Saturday, August 16.

Officers from the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit made a stop when they spotted the exhaust was 'hanging off' a Fiat Punto.

It was then revealed the driver had no licence or insurance and the car was seized, leaving him "walking home to Mansfield".

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit posted on Twitter saying: "Shirebrook. Exhaust hanging off, space saver wheel, doors are a different colour and some interesting stickers made this Punto fair game for a stop.

"Driver no licence or insurance. Walking home to Mansfield with his compressor. #Seized #Traffic #Deflated"
