A ute that collided with a 10-year-old riding a bike, which had a large dent and cracked spoiler, has been located and impounded police say.

ACT Policing said the blue 2001 Ford Falcon utility and the child collided about 7.30pm on Monday on Macfarland Burnett Avenue in Macgregor.

"[It] left the scene before police arrived and witnesses indicated the vehicle had a large dent in the bonnet and a cracked front spoiler," police said in a statement.

"The child suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries."

It is one of two serious traffic incidents in the past week that have prompted police to call for witnesses and dash-cam footage.

In the second, a pedestrian was seriously hurt in a three-car crash in the southbound lanes of the Tuggeranong Parkway at the Glenloch Interchange about 5.30pm on Tuesday.

"A white Honda Civic was involved in the collision and police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the Honda Civic prior to the collision," police said.

They asked anyone with information that could help them with either investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website and quote 6943066 for Macgregor crash or 6943928 for the Parkway crash.
