Driver killed after ute crashed near Lake George, ejecting him from the vehicle

A 43-year-old New South Wales man has died after being thrown from his ute in a single-vehicle crash near Lake George on Sunday night.

NSW Police said emergency services were called to the intersection of Tarago Road and Currandooley Road, about 40km north-east of Canberra, about 8.50pm on August 2, following reports of a crash.

Officers from the Monaro Police District attended and found a Ford utility vehicle had rolled, ejecting the driver.

A passing motorist rendered assistance to the injured driver before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, but the man died at the scene, police said.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the NSW Coroner.
