Driver injured as school bus crashes into front of house in West Lothian

A school bus has crashed into the front of a house in West Lothian.

Officers raced to the scene after the coach smashed into the home on Main Street, East Whitburn at 7.40am this morning.

A spokesman from Police Scotland confirmed that the bus was not carrying any passengers and the bus driver only sustained minor injuries.

Police tweeted that Main Street was closed to traffic.

Closures were in place from Blaeberry Hill to the A801 junction for the M8 motorway.

Locals took to social media to react to the crash.

One Facebook user wrote: "Oh dear hope everyone's ok accidents happen so let's not be blaming someone till the facts are known."

Another added:  "Omg hope everyone is safe."

A third said:  'Hope everyone on the bus and any passersby are ok."
