A driver led police on a 12-minute chase in a stolen car - before hitting a wall.
The Ford Fiesta was spotted by officers on Langworthy Road in Salford just after midnight on Sunday morning (July 19).
The driver fled, leading cops on a chase through Salford.
He hit a parked car on Moorfield Road in Irlams o' th' Height.
The driver then smashed the stolen car, which was on false plates, into a wall on Barton Road.
The two people inside ran off.
Officers gave chase and, with the help of a police helicopter, tracked them down and arrested them.
Both suspects were in custody today (Sunday).
A picture posted on the GMP Traffic Twitter account shows a man running away from an officer on Barton Road.
The caption reads: "The Ford Fiesta was sighted in Salford by #OpSycamore patrols.
"Pursued for over 12 mins during which it collided with another car and in the end a wall.
"With the assistance of @NPASNorthWest 2 x males detained in Swinton.
"Car found to be an outstanding stolen."
PC Ashworth, from GMP's Roads Policing Unit, said: "The driver showed a total disregard for other road users, property, pedestrians and tried everything to evade the pursuing patrols.
"Unfortunately, damage was caused to an innocent member of the public's vehicle during the incident.
"With the help of NPAS and other patrols both occupants can answer for their actions - especially the driver who risked the safety of others.
"We are committed to targeting these individuals and will do all we can to bring them before the courts."
