Driver in 'serious' condition after car flees crash scene

Police are appealing for information following a 'serious' three-vehicle crash in the Vale of Glamorgan .

The crash happened on the B4265 near Fonmon at around 4.20pm on Friday, December 6 and involved a red Audi A1, a grey VW Polo and a white Ford Fiesta.

The occupant(s) of the Fiesta fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

The driver of the Polo suffered 'serious' injuries and currently remains at the University Hospital Wales.

South Wales Police are particularly interested to hear from anyone who can help them identify the driver of the white Ford Fiesta.

Its registration is ST11 KUX.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the B4265 near Fonmon in the Vale of Glamorgan at around 4.20pm on Friday, December 6.

"The incident involved a red Audi A1, a grey VW Polo and a white Ford Fiesta. The occupant(s) of the Fiesta fled the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

"The driver of the Polo suffered serious injuries and currently remains at the University Hospital Wales.

"Officers investigating the collision are particularly keen to hear from anyone who can assist in identifying the driver of the white Ford Fiesta, registration ST11 KUX.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the manner in which any of the vehicles were being driven in the moments prior to it, or anyone with dash-cam footage, is also urged to come forward.

"Please call 101, quoting reference 1900449617.
