Driver in miraculous escape after car windscreen damaged by item thrown off M74 bridge

Police in Lanarkshire are appealing for information after a driver miraculously escaped injury when their car was struck by an item thrown off a farm access bridge over the motorway.

The incident occurred about 11.40pm on Sunday (May 18) on the M74 northbound near to Junction 8, Larkhall.

The item caused damage to the bonnet and windscreen.

Luckily, no one was injured during this incident but it could've been far worse.
