Driver hurt after bus crashes into a house in West Lothian

A bus crashed into a house in West Lothian early this morning.

Officers were called at 7.40am as a single decker bus - believed to be used as a school bus - had collided with a house in East Witburn.

Police have said that the male bus driver suffered minor injuries.

There were no passengers on the bus and officers believe there was nobody in the house at the time of the crash.

Closures were in place from Blaeberry Hill to the A801 junction for the M8 motorway.

The road remains closed between Main Street and Bathgate Road.

Emergency services remain at the scene.
