Driver hospitalised in two car collision on York Road

A driver was hospitalised and a bus stop seriously damaged in a road traffic collision on York Road.

Two cars collided near to the Go Outdoors store on York Road heading in to the city centre, with one car smashing a nearby bus stop to pieces in the process.

The emergency services were called at around 12:04 and one driver was taken to Leeds General Infirmary as a precaution.

Amazingly no-one involved was seriously hurt in the crash.

Emergency services have cleared the road and according to our road traffic provider Inrix traffic is now flowing as normal on York Road.
