A driver has been hospitalised and the M8 in Glasgow closed after a horror smash between two cars.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the two-car crash, which took place near junction 16 around 1.05pm on Saturday Mach 13.
One person involved was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Traffic Scotland tweeted that Lanes 2 and 3 closed on the M8 westbound due to the collision.
Officers have since confirmed all lanes have been since been re-opened.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received a report of a two-car crash on the M8 near junction 16 around 1.05pm on Saturday, 13 March.
"One driver was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a precaution. The road is now open."
