A car has been pictured 'heading towards Edinburgh' on the wrong side of a major Scottish motorway, sparking fears for the safety of fellow road users.
The incident occurred on the M90 northbound, in what looks like the driver heading towards South Queensferry while driving almost on the verge of the opposite side of the road.
The footage was taken on Tuesday, July 5, just after 8pm.

The incident was captured by a Tesla driver and shared by Fife Jammers and shows the small light blue car heading towards oncoming traffic on the edge of the left-hand lane, seemingly unaware that they are in the wrong.
The video sparked a huge response from fellow road users who shared concerns for the person given the severity of their actions. One user claims it was an elderly looking woman in a Kia heading towards Edinburgh, with people urging them to call the police to check on the safety of the driver.
Several other motorists who witnessed the incident claimed the car was actually a Citroen and an elderly woman was behind the wheel. There have so far been no reports of any sort of collision or incident.
The major route starts south of the Queensferry crossing and continues all the way to Perth - being one of the busiest main roads in and out of Scotland. With the incident occurring after 8pm, it could have resulted in a serious incident for the driver and those passing the car.
