Police will review CCTV footage after a driver had a lucky escape following a collision on Barton High Level Bridge.
North West Motorway Police took to Twitter to share a picture of a black Volvo with extensive damage to the side of the vehicle.
Barton High Level Bridge forms part of the M60 between junctions 10 and 11 – Trafford Park and Eccles - and goes over the Manchester ship canal at a height of 30 metres.
In a statement on Twitter in the early hours of Tuesday morning, North West Motorway Police said: “RTC attended earlier by #ME54 on Barton high level, driver had lucky escape from this collision.
“ME54 attended scene. Enquiries being done to view CCTV footage.”
