Driver flees after Peugeot car overturns in country lane

A driver fled from their car after it overturned in a country lane outside Bristol.

It happened in Siston Lane in Warmley and police are also looking through CCTV footage from the area.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to Siston Lane at 5.30pm last night (Wednesday) following a single-vehicle road traffic collision.

"When officers arrived they discovered a blue Peugeot on its roof. Witnesses said the Peugeot driver fled the scene on foot.

"An investigation is underway and CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being checked.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote reference 5220017358."
