A driver has been fined after parking on the hard shoulder whilst they were waiting to pick family up from Manchester Airport.
North West Motorway Police stopped the black Vauxhaull Corsa on the hard shoulder of the M56 Airport Spur on Friday morning (June 18).
After conducting their enquiries as to why he was parked there, officers discovered they were waiting to collect family from the airport.
Officers issued the driver with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).
In a tweet, North West Motorway Police said: "ME41 stopped with a vehicle parked on hard shoulder of M56 Airport Spur waiting to collect relatives from airport.
"TOR issued."
