Driver escaped from this crash with no injuries

A driver escaped with no injuries after flipping their car on the A46 near Newark.

All three emergency services were called out at 4.40pm on Sunday, December 1, to the incident at the junction with the A617.

The A46 was closed southbound between the Cattle Market and Farndon, with diversions in place.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The incident involved one vehicle on its side. One person was released before arrival of fire service, crews made the vehicle safe."

And Newark Police reported that the driver had been checked over by paramedics and had 'no injuries'.

Firefighters from Newark station had attended the scene.

The road was reopened by 6pm.
