Driver crashes newly bought Ferrari after driving it for two miles

A Ferrari driver crashed their newly-purchased vehicle in Derby after driving it for just two miles. While there were no injuries following the crash, the car shows plenty of signs of damage.

The crash, which happened earlier today (April 1) on the Derby underpass off Pentagon Island near the city centre, caused significant damage to the bonnet. No injuries have been reported following the crash, with Derbyshire police attending the scene following the incident.

As many social media users assumed that the story and the pictures were an April Fool's Day prank, the force confirmed that this was not the case.

Derbyshire Live also received reports of the crash from passers-by.

The car is thought to be worth in excess of £100,000 and could have cost as much as £245,000.
