A 36-year-old man died after crashing into a 'bridge rail' on the M602, an inquest has heard. Jaroslaw Jaszczyszyn was pronounced dead shortly after the collision in the early hours of December 19 2021.

An inquest opened into Mr Jaszczyszyn's death at Bolton Coroner's Court on Friday morning (April 29). Police coroner's officer Andrew Pickles told the hearing that Mr Jaszczyszyn was a mechanic that was born in Zary, Poland, but had moved to Farnworth.

Mr Pickles said: "At 3.05am on December 19 2021, police received reports of vehicle that had collided with a bridge rail on M602 Eastbound, Regent Road, Salford. The driver had sustained road traffic injuries and died at the scene. It appeared the car had left the carriageway and collided with the bridge rail."
