
A DRIVER will face court after a crash at Forresters Beach left a pedestrian in hospital with injuries.
Officers were called to Mistview Circuit about 7.30pm on Thursday after reports someone had been hit by a car.
Brisbane Water police arrived and were told the driver of a white Ford Ranger utility had allegedly hit a parked Volkswagen Amarok before colliding with a pedestrian and fleeing the scene.
Paramedics treated the pedestrian, 42, before taking him to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigations led police from Tuggerah Lakes to attend a Bauteau Bay home in Marlowe Road about 10pm.
They arrested a 26-year-old man.
Police will allege the man became aggressive and assaulted a male senior constable during the arrest.
Officers seized $5945 in cash as well as a white Ford Ranger utility from the home.
The 26-year-old was taken to Gosford police station and charged with cause bodily harm by misconduct in charge of motor vehicle, negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm), assault officer in execution of duty, resist officer in execution of duty and fail to stop and assist after impact cause injury.
He received strict conditional bail to face court on December 8.
His licence was also suspended.
