A Victorian man has been charged over a three-car crash that killed a woman on the weekend.

Emergency services were called to the collision at Swan Bay, near Geelong, about 1.20pm on Sunday.

It is believed a car was travelling south on Queenscliff Road when it was struck by an eastbound car on Swan Bay Road.

A westbound car on Swan Bay Road was then struck and rolled on to its roof.

A 35-year-old Queenscliff woman, the driver of the southbound car, died at the scene.

Three people in the other two vehicles were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the eastbound car, a 64-year-old Geelong man, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.

He was bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates Court on Monday.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
