A motorist who drove on a major road in Scotland missing one tyre has been charged with dangerous driving.
Police spotted the culprit, who has not been identified, driving on the A9 near Perth on Wednesday.
Officers saw the vehicle was missing a tyre and apprehended the driver, who has subsequently charged with dangerous driving and reported to the public prosecutor.
Police posted a picture of the bare metal wheel on social media and said the vehicle has been banned from being used on the road.
Tayside Police tweeted: "This vehicle was stopped by Road Policing officers yesterday (Wed, 17 Feb), being driven on the A9 near Perth.
"The driver has been charged with dangerous driving and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"The vehicle has been prohibited from being used on the road."
Earlier this year, a motorist was arrested after he was caught travelling along a motorway missing two front wheels.
The man was pulled over by Greater Manchester Police traffic officers on the M66 after they noticed he was “struggling to drive”.
On closer inspection, the officers realised the man’s car was missing its two front tyres.
The man was given a breathliser test and found to be six times over the limit.
The legal limit in England and Wales is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
