A West Lothian driver was caught six times over the legal alcohol limit this week after crashing through a set of railings.
Road Police in the Lothians issued a warning to other motorists about the rules surrounding drink driving on Tuesday (December 6) following the incident in Broxburn.
Speaking on social media, officers stated they had raced to the crash on Tuesday after a driver had crashed through the railings and gone on to hit a parked car.
Edinburgh Live reported that after taking a breath test, the motorist was reported to have returned a reading of 152ug, almost seven times more than the legal limit of 22ug.
A message from Road Police added: "#LivingstonRP attended a collision in Broxburn after a driver crashed through railings & hit a parked car.
"Driver refused to provide at the roadside, was arrested & later provided a lower reading of 152ug! Held until sober & released on undertaking to @COPFS for various offences."
