Driver caught doing 75mph in Fife 40 zone 'was just dangerous'

A driver clocked doing 75mph in a 40mph zone was "just dangerous", police have said. The motorist was spotted by Fife Roads Policing Unit reaching unacceptable speeds on the A92 last night (Saturday).

Officers from the force were patrolling near the Balfarg junction area of the road where they came across the driver in front of them. What's more, they also observed the motorist hitting speeds of 120mph on the highway.

A statement issued by Road Policing Scotland during the early hours of Sunday read: "FifeRP were patrolling the A92 near Balfarg junction tonight and spotted this driver in front. He was detected doing 75mph in the 40’s and 120mph in the nationals.

"It’s never acceptable to speed but this was just dangerous so we reported him for this instead. NoExcuse."
