Police have arrested a driver in Salford following a roadside drugs wipe.
Officers stopped the Volkswagen Golf on James Street and issued the driver with a drugs test, which came back positive for cocaine.
The driver was detained and is now in custody at Swinton Police Station, according to a tweet from Greater Manchester Police (GMP).

"First one of the night for #XT58 A Vollswagen Golf was stopped on James Street Salford," GMP tweeted at 10:58 pm on Thursday (November 11).
"The driver would test positive for cocaine and is now in custody at Swinton #Fatal4."
Drug wipes are used by police forces across the country to detect recent and long-term drug use. Used as standard during roadside stops, the tests require saliva and sweat samples from the suspect and produce results in just five minutes.
Under current UK law, police can use drug wipes to test for the presence of cannabis and cocaine. If a suspect tests positive or the police suspect they are under the influence of other substances, they will be arrested and taken to a police station for further drugs screening via a blood or urine test.
A conviction for drug driving carries a minimum one-year driving ban, an unlimited fine, up to six months in prison and a criminal record.
