A woman was arrested after a crash with a parked CTA bus Thursday along the edge of Garfield Park on the West Side.

The 42-year-old was driving a Chevrolet SUV east at 11:56 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Madison Street when it hit the rear driver’s side of the bus, which was parked on the street, according to Chicago police.

The bus driver was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, police said. No passengers were aboard the bus at the time.

The woman driving the SUV refused medical treatment at the scene and was taken into custody, police said. Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
